My second cx race ever, first one was state champs last year. Had a lot of fun. Great course. Very Very proud of my teammate winning the race and keeping the jersey in the family.
I think there's going to be a lot more of this cx/ xc offroad stuff in my future. Very fun.
Tony "Mini Deal" Viton: 9th, Cat 1-2-3

I was a mess, my bike was a mess. Rode the 2nd half of the race easy so I wouldn't completely freak out!
  Mark Deane: 15th, Cat 4

Another great course. Loved the barrier before the sand pit. Bunny hopped it everytime. My longest race yet. I'm whooped.
  Spencer Hackett: 19th, Cat 1-2-3

Felt bad until the start. From there I felt awesome. I came out of the first lap on a few bike lengths down on the leaders. I sat up to rest of a second and lost the quick groove I was in. A few people passed me and I passed a few more. There were a few moves I could have stuck with, my mind just told me I was bonked, but I really wasn't. Physically I'm on par. Mentally I'm holding myself back. Great race and great weekend with everyone involved.

The course way a lot better/dryer today. Legs felt much better as well and did not feel flat like Saturday. I got a O.K. start and enjoyed the faster dryer course. My back was finished with three laps to go, so I stretch as much as I could during the race. Joel and I went back and forth most of the race, with my back finally out lasting Joel's legs in the end. Working neutral support, being on my legs all day and racing both days this weekend took a bit out of my legs. Looking forward to Cap City CX - Uncle Steve's, Ohio UCI and the USGP at Louisville.
